Account and memorandum books, 1812-1815, kept by Long Island resident and sloop captain Whitehead Mitchell, principally containing accounts for freighting goods such as flour, produce, lumber, manure, meat, and hay. Volumes additionally include receipts, personal accounts, and miscellaneous financial memoranda. Included are accounts with Hewlett Cornwell, Elbert Hegeman, Samuel T. Mitchell, Samuel W. Mott, George Onderdonk, Henry Underhill, Cornelius Schuyler, and many others.
